Introduction

Dadra is one of the two talukas in Dadra and Nagar Haveli district, India. It is an enclave lying a few kilometres north of Nagar Haveli and is surrounded by Gujarat. Dadra is located 6 km west of Silvassa, the capital of the district. Dadra consists of Dadra town and two other villages. Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli in 1961.^[3] The union territory was merged with the neighbouring union territory of Daman and Diu to form the new union territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu on 26 January 2020

The Parliament of India in December 2019 passed a bill to merge two Union Territories Daman and Diu, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli into one UT.There are over 7,100 industrial units in the UT, around 85% of which lie in the MSME sector.
